We’re all about diving into new cultures, stepping out of comfort zones, and seeing places in a whole new light – and we wanted to make it easy for you to do the same. Gabrielle Beran & Erinn Fortman
Some of the best stories start with, “So I met this person at a bar…”. Well here is the story of Born To Be Local:
We met randomly at this dive bar in Orange County, California, and instantly hit it off over our shared passion for travel, photography, and a love for experiencing local cultures more authentically. Fast forward to January 2023, we found ourselves in Guatemala, bonding over tequila and this wild idea to change the way people experience travel. We were all about capturing that electric feeling when you really connect with a place and its people.
We instantly fell in love with the locals, the vibrant culture, and the stunning sights of Guatemala. So, on a whim (and a lot of tequila), we decided to start our own travel company. Born To Be Local was born, with Guatemala as our first destination.
Utilizing our local connections, blending our creative skills, and spending months and months finding the best of Guatemala, we have created experiences that only a local can give you. Thoughtfully curated experiences that capture some of the beauty of Guatemala!
